So Far So Good

I am grateful for this unit as it is currently the only form of cooling we have in the living and dining rooms, this in a record-breaking super hot Arizona spring. It keeps the area cool even though it's larger than is specified for the LP111WXR model. We put a fan directly in front of the cool stream of air, and that helps distribute the air even further. Setup was easy. Purchasing was a good decision.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

The performance of the unit is not met....to the standard it has set....Does not work up to its specified "square footage"...

A life saver!

The portable LG acs can be used in this old house of mine that have extremlely narrow window openings. Could not find a window ac to fit. But this portable is perfect and extremly easy to use. I am a 65+ senior citizen and was able to set this up by myself and move it if I needed to. It is really a superior product and again demonstrates why LG is highly rated in the market.

I like the automatic louver and the amount of air it moves. It didn't really raise my electric bill much and yes it was more than I wanted to spend. But it is way more effecient than my old window air conditioner, I know it is portable but I have yet to move it.

Looks really cool in snow white finish in my room, although I love the silver look of the other two high end models. It really cools my place down really well. Wish it had horizontal direction for the air flow, although the vertical swing flow is cool. Very quiet on low speed, which is great for sleeping. Worth every nickel - seriously!

Works Like a Charm

Bought this air conditioner for our cottage when we had a bit of a heat wave. It took a bit to set-up as it had to be installed in a patio door, and there is no kit for that supplied by LG. Two inch foam insulation cut to hold the air exhaust solved the problem. Once installed the unit started up and ran flawlessly.
Unit is quiet.
No problems what-so-ever with water buildup.
All controls work as designed.
Articulated air vent is a nice feature.
Unit is designed to cool 400 square feet. Unit is in a 500 square foot area and works full-time to cool that size, so works as advertised, but do not expect more.

I've been very pleased with this a/c unit. It's cooling about half my home right now. It was very easy to setup and operate. It's worked perfectly so far and I've had it about 4 weeks and have used it everyday.

We bought this Air Conditioner, when the Temp was 99 degrees outside, the day before the Fourth of July.
I was insistant with my husband that we not go home without a unit. We went to two Home Depots, and they sold it to us.
When we got home it took about an hour to set it up, our windows are very tall.

We let it run all evening, and all night. It was wonderful to wake up cool.
This unit cooled our entire upper floor. It is larger than recommended, but it did a great job.
I have already recommended it to friends, and a few bought them too.
We now have it put up for the winter, and it was a breeze to take out of the window, empty the water out, clean the little filter, and put back in the same plastic bag for storage.
We loved the timer, we set it before going to work, and it was very cool in the house when we arrived home.
The Cleaning feature is easy to use as well. Just push a button, and it is clean.
Love this product.
We thought about another unit just for our bedroom, maybe next spring.
