Ink not long lasting for XL

Seems like the ink supply is less than it was in my last several orders. My printing requirements have not changed. Why does the ink not last as long?

I just buy the black cartridge, with fewer pages, due to money and budgeting concerns. Would prefer to have the 60xl but not economically possible. Wishing there was more output at a lower price.

I have bought the xl cartridge for black toner before but this is the first time I have bought the xl tricolor. It should give me much more extended use of my printer.
