I bought this only because I was pushed into a corner to do so. I originally ordered a re-manufactured cartridge but found out quickly that HP has prohibited the use. This upset me because I own my printer and should be able to use what I want to. I’m on a fixed income and the latter was more affordable. I soon realized that although I own it, HP controlled it. This made me realize that I will shop for non-HP products in the future.
Other than the frustration I experienced-ordering the HP cartridge was easy and was in my hands w/in 2 days and is working good.
In the future...hp should allow us the freedom of using various cartridges that we choose. You are definitely not looking at the big picture.

I am pleased that there is finally (for me, as I recently discovered this cartridge) a print cartridge that is approaching a reasonable price. And that it prints more pages than the standard cartridge? Better.
