Nice looking

I needed a new refrigerator. My old one was turning out ice cubes with black spots on them which I later found out was carbon from a malfunctioning ice maker. It was also making a lot of noise. I purchase this new GE refrigerator. It is very neat, roomy and nice looking. But it is quite loud! It seems to come from the freezer section. This defeated one of the purposes of me needing a new refrigerator. That part is very disappointing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Basic, adequate appliance

This refrigerator is a basic model which is exactly what we were looking for. It is quite adequate for our needs, however it is a bit noisier than the 18 year old GE model that we replaced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this refrigerator a few months ago and after purchasing it and filling it realized really wasnt big enough, so i have to be careful when i shop. And also cant adjust the door shelves

Not what I expected from a GE product

We got our new refrigerator 3 months ago and have been pretty unhappy with it so far. We have owned several other GE products and have always been pleased. However, not this time.This 'fridge is a disappointment. The freezer always freezes up and gets caked up with thick layers of ice. I have to periodically chop the built- up ice away. Everything in the freezer gets covered with what looks like snow! We keep the freezer on the lowest setting to prolong the amount of time between defrostings. As for the fridge, we also need to keep that on the lowest setting or everything freezes. I recently put a roast chicken in the fridge and the next morning it was frozen solid!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

its not the fridge...i would of wanted...it has no light in freezer...and sounds like a cement mixer

Do not buy. Faulty made. Quits in 13 days

When you spend over $$$$ on a NEW product, a normal customer thinks it is reasonable to expect a correctly made, correctly functioning product to be delivered. Thirteen days after delivery the freezer stops working as does the refrigerator. All the freezer food is ruined, as the temperature is 54 degrees and the refrigerator is 56 degrees. If made correctly there in NO need repair it. Real great- NOT!
The thing looks nice. But the shelves in the refrigerator bend with weight on them, having no metal support and not strong plastic. The metal shelf in the freezer also bends with any weight on it. No freezer light. The snack/deli bin doesn't slide out far enough. The shelves are shallower because the door shelves are deeper. The temperature was 5 in the freezer and 40 in the fridge prior to it ceasing to cool/freeze. Trying to adjust it a tiny bit lower just resulted in frozen lettuce.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
