Very loud refrigerator

I bought it couple of months ago and it is got much louder since. I am going to have to call GE to have it checked out. I read the reviews about this refrigerator (thanks) but I had to buy it because I have a small kitchen and all my other appliances are GE model. Inside of the refrigerator is built cheap but the exterior looks good. However it is very roomy and it keeps meat and vegetables fresh. I can not believe that GE can build awesome Jet engines but can't build a quiet compressor. The refrigerator just shut itself off, it is much quieter now. Not kidding you!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst appliance I have Ever Owned

The freezer's evaporator motor had to be replaced immediately after delivery due to a loud vibration/noise. Two months after the warranty expired, the freezer evaporator motor began making noise again, so loud in fact, that I have to turn the refrigerator off for an hour or so just to get a break from the noise. It is unbelievably loud! There is also frost building up in the freezer compartment and behind the rear wall of the freezer. Our local appliance repairman has been trying to get the parts for us for a month now, and says it is impossible to get the remaining part required from GE. He thinks they may be redesigning the part. However, I can wait no longer, and will be buying a different brand of refrigerator. I will never buy a GE appliance again.

This product good quality but noisy.

This product has good quality and works very good BUT is very noisy. While running it has a irritable and annoying loud noise.

The main problem top Freezer seems loose after closing door. Magnets could be a little stronger.

While refrigerator is running it is quite loud. Sounds like it is grunting.

The refrigerator is just average. The temperature control for the refrigerator is located on the ceiling of the compartment and sticks down. Every time I put a gallon of milk or a bottle in I hit it. Everything was freezing until I realized what was happening. Everthing on the bottom back shelf freezes anyway with the temp turned down.

Size is just right for me and my older home's kitchen. Simple, no frills, (does have icemaker). Runs very quite except for the icemaker.

Ideal Refrigerator

Had to get a new refrige for an older custom space. Perfect fit and great price. Enormous inside space for the minimal outside dimensions. And runs quieter than the old one. Couldn't be happier.
