Easy and Professional

I am a retired CPA and continued using professional tax software for years until I decided to give Turbo Tax a try. Now, I use nothing but this software. It is inexpensive but thorough and accurate.
What's great about it: If you can read, you can get it done!

Simplifies a complex job!

I've used TurboTax for years and find it easy to use, easy to explore and guides me to file accurate returns each year. Couldn't import from Quicken this year because Intuit hasn't worked out the bugs their software has with Windows 10. Couldn't print tax forms from print screen without getting broad black streaks on various pages using my HP Officejet Pro 8625. Overall, great program, this is the first year I've had serious problems with it functioning as advertised.
What's great about it: Easy of use, walks you through every detail of your return
What's not so great: Couldn't 'zoom' to switch to forms view when needed; streaked broad black lines on printed forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

More convenient than an accountant

What's great about it: Do it anytime; can skip around as info is available instead of waiting until I have all documents
What's not so great: Don't always understand what's happening, but that's because of the tax code

Tax Year 2015 filing

Have used Turbo Tax for several years. Has been a good program but the continuing cost increases will probably drive me to look at other options next year. I have a large number of stock transactions and while the import works well, not enough description data shows and it is very hard to find transactions. Had an issue with Intuit ID that was difficult to resolve - got in a loop that wouldn't allow me to change password. Finally solved it when I had to create a new ID for its deductible. It deductible did NOT work well. Transactions would not save and had to reenter several times. Frustrating!
What's great about it: Carried data forward from lasr year
What's not so great: Expensive plus added fees to e-file state
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Amazing

As a first time user, I expected a learning curve, which indeed I did experience. However, once I got into the process, I found it to be more intuitive and very satisfying when I actually got it right. I must admit I relied heavily on my 2014 return, but I am confident that my 2016 filing will go so much more smoothly. So glad I tried TurboTax and saved a bundle in fees. Let's hope I got it right!
What's great about it: Help, every step of the way.
What's not so great: Had trouble finding the link to enter detailed expense info.

I have used TurboTax since it was first introduced to the market. I think it is a good product. It is accurate. It saves my time. It is flexible enough that I can run a few "what ifs" without totally changing what will be the finished return. The only problem I encountered this year was, as mentioned above, the color of the font, background, etc. was such that it made reading the questions, instructions difficult. When the color yellow was used, I could not read the information. Fortunately, this only occurred a few times and I was able to guess or ignore it. I would like Turbo Tax to add back the feature that allowed you to compare this year to last year return, especially, since I owed more this year than last, without any major changes in our income/deductions.
What's great about it: The questions are understandable and simple enough to answer.
What's not so great: Color of font, particularly yellow, makes reading screen almost impossible.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Guiding method worked great and getting back to where you left off was easy. No problems though taxes of course are no fun,
