Why don't you support efile for 2014 in 2016

What's great about it: Pretty easy to use. Like data updated from prior year's return.
What's not so great: Won't allow 2014 efile even though federal & Michigan are still accepting efile. Very frustrating

Great product but still double check results

I've used TurboTax for over 20 years and have seen great improvements throughout those years. It's a product that serves all types of returns whether it's a simple, business, and complicated individual return. A major feature for those with a more complicated return is the automatic transfer of prior year's tax data and forms, then you have the options either to guide through the current year's data input, or do it the old way of just data entering each form. At the completion's end you feel very confident that you have the forms ready for submission. But, it's not perfect. A Schedule E error got through in my 2014 returns, resulting in my having to do a re-filing. But, that one error is very acceptable given the software's overall reliability and accuracy so I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Easy to use, lots of expert guidance, fair cost
What's not so great: May be difficult to use for complex returns

Worrisome

Use Mac El Capitan. Most recent TurboTax update lost my tax data. Didn't known how to retrieve it. Had to get Austin on the help phone who expertly talked me through a very convoluted process of deleting existing app and downloading a fully updated one. Caused much anxiety and a lot of time, but he did great and got the job done.
This bug needs some work.
What's great about it: Good help. Good explanations, except for State in some cases.
What's not so great: Loss of data on update.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax Premier

As complicated as federal income tax returns can be, its easy to overlook a small detail. I like the way Turbo Tax compares current and prior year information through out the process, however in several instances this years product prompted me for carryover information. That should not happen. Turbo Tax should always bring prior year carry forward information into the next years returns without exception.
What's great about it: Easy to use and with numerous detailed answers to questions
What's not so great: I did not like being prompted for various carryover information.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Taxes done today (just before extension period ran out). The customer care phone call guided me through the Trad to RothIRA back door conversion. That made my day.
What's great about it: Gets the job done. Gives you a level of comfort and confidence you did not really miss anything.
What's not so great: There could be step by step screen shot like help for typical situations like entering details of ESPP/Opts/BackdoorRoth
