Two thumbs up for federal, 1 thumb down for state

Have filed with TurboTax since 2004. Every year the federal program gets better. By comparison, the state program (Arizona) appears stuck in the Stone Age, it has changed very little during that span of time.
For example, it asked me if I got an AZ refund last year (I did, and the federal picked that right up -- why not the state?) and if I applied last year's AZ refund to this year's AZ taxes (again, shouldn't it know this if I transferred from last year?).
The AZ questions were also overly-taxified and confusing, e.g. "Enter the amount of AZLTHSA (Arizona Long-Term Health Care Savings Account) distributions used to pay for qualified medical expenses **that you entered** [emphasis mine] while completing your federal return." Um, I didn't enter any... at least I don't think I did... what is this anyway? ... now I'm confused....
It's as if all the development money goes into improving the federal side at the expense of the state program, which only appears to be a minimally-complaint revenue-generator.
What's great about it: Super-easy
What's not so great: State not up to par with federal

I couldn't figure out how to change the amount of state (AL) refund I wanted applied to next year's tax.

awesome and cheaper than going through an accountant. Makes it easy for a non accountant to follow. Let's see if I have any rejects
What's great about it: walked me through all the questions on a fairly complex setup
What's not so great: there were still questions I had
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Help but Not Great!

I have used TT for more than 20 years, but this year I am thinking of changing as the price of what I need in TT continues to increase each year yet I do not get that much more for the price. I find TT a bit difficult to find where it enters the data and how to get to the work sheets to review.
What's great about it: Easy to Read
What's not so great: Difficult to find information on forms and where TT enters the data.

Generally good and easy to use except that to go back to unfinished sections or to change them it forces you to go back thru a lot of screens instead of letting you go right to the screen you want to change.

I would use nothing else

I have been a TurboTax user for 10+ years. I swear by the product. Having access to the TurboTax community and in-program descriptions in order to answer questions is VERY helpful. I continue to have problems reporting my IRA/Roth conversions properly by following the questions. My non-taxable IRA usually gets taxed. However, I have learned to go directly to the "Forms" section and change information either directly on the form or delete the form all together and go back to the questions and re-answer them. This is a VERY helpful feature as I can open the IRS instructions on one part of the screen and follow the TurboTax form to make sure the numbers are correct. I am a CPA and find that the overall value of this product for the money is excellent.
What's great about it: Thorough, ease of use, reasonably priced, easy access to information
What's not so great: IRA/Roth conversions are tricky, need to review results closely for complex areas
