EXCELLENT PRODUCT- EASY TO USE!

I have used this product for many years and find it fast and efficient. I love that it walks you thru each element of the area you are focusing on and definitely believe I have taken advantage of all the program features. When I am finished I feel confident that I have answered all areas correctly and that I have also learned a lot.
What's great about it: Comprehensive; Ask all the right questions; Informative; Up to date
What's not so great: No RED alert if duplications occur

It really helps to see what you did last year

It was so good to have a reminder at every step; and downloading from the Brokerage account was so time saving.
What's great about it: So much information is carried from last year
What's not so great: should be easier to print a single page

Home and Office pop up convinced me to upgrade from premium to Home & Office. What a terrible mistake!!! After four hours of frustration I loaded Premium on a different computer, downloaded Premium and quickly completed my taxes. BIG waste of time and money trying to use Home & Office.
What's great about it: NOT Much
What's not so great: Home&Office is a LOSER

Detailed and Easy

I've used TurboTax for the last 6 years and I can't think of doing my taxes any other way. The first few years I had to get the hang of it. Now it doesn't take as long because I know what to expect and I gather all data before sitting down to complete my taxes.
What's great about it: I liked the way it guides you through the whole process
What's not so great: Depending on your return and might be a little time consuming so be patient

Okay in the end

As a first-time landlord with a rental property, I bought this Premier version thinking it would go through the rental expenses step by step. Not so. I did find the schedule E and fill in the relevant expenses at the end, but only when the software checked for mistakes and pulled up the schedule E. Otherwise, a solid, thoroughgoing program, one I've used for many years.
What's great about it: Search area answered all the questions
What's not so great: Didn't walk through the rental expenses (as it did with other sections)

An investment that generated a very complex K-1 was the reason I decided not to prepare my taxes by hand for the first time this year. To my chagrin, the K-1 data did not "easily import" into Turbo Tax as I had been promised, so I still wound up with some headaches. But except for that, the Turbo Tax process was clear and generally painless.
What's great about it: generally took me through what I needed with clarity
What's not so great: Did not import K-1 data properly, and doing my K-1 was my main reason for buying Turbo Tax.
