Extension over/return filed

I wish there was a tab to click on at any given time so that you can see the real form in front of you. I used to do my own on paper forms for 30 years and I never feel like I can get the big picture until it is done and I am printing.
What's great about it: You just answer questions
What's not so great: difficult to see the big picture

TT okay, but not great w/ ESPP, RSU, Stock Splits
on October 2, 2016

When using the TT wizard doesn't work, and I have to choose to enter it myself, the information from the 1st attempt is still in the worksheets, so later it makes it hard for me to check everything. Better control of cleaning up worksheet info not used for what goes into the actual forms that get submitted to the IRS would be very helpful. I had to adjust basis of ESPP because of company split, but I also had to correct for basis not being correct because bank didn't report the portion that is compensation income in the basis in the 1099. I would have liked to have been prompted for all these situations so that I would not have to basically go off and use spreadsheets to gain confidence that everything was taken care of and I wasn't being double taxed by using the wrong basis.
What's great about it: Electronic Filing
What's not so great: ESPP, RSU, Stock Splits

What's not so great: software expensive; also better wording in laymans terms as consumers are not tax experts
Pros: I bought or sold investments, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Learn, Save, and Get Paid
on October 3, 2016

I have used the software for years and will continue. Some parts can get a little wordy but most of the program is easily filled out. The payment process was a piece of cake. There are also helpful tips about investing and tips that help for saving money in the coming years.
What's great about it: Each step of your return is broken own and usually has an explanation or helpful tip
What's not so great: Some of the steps involving depreciations can get confusing.
