I use a Mac because its easy to enlarge text for easy reading. I could not figure out a way to do this with Turbo Tax which made working through the questions and reading forms very difficult
What's great about it: good step by step working through
What's not so great: WILL NOT ENLARGE text for easy viewing on MAC

Excellent Product

This software is very user friendly and every conceivable tax issue is addressed. Even very rare tax situations such as sale of homes under a life estate trust are covered. I recommend the Premier version for anyone with investment properties and brokerage accounts.
I've been a customer of TurboTax since it bought Parsons Technology!

The ability to switch between actual IRS forms and step by step "interview" format is great. Some forms are so familiar that you just want to type in the information; anything new or different, however, it's nice to be lead through "step by step."
The e-filing fees tacked on at the end seem excessive, since I'm sure it's costing nothing to send this data (or at least no incremental charge), but by that tiime I'm so happpy I'm done that I really don't care.
The charges for a second state seem excessive to me, but it's their software--I don't have to buy it. I could do the second state on paper (yeah, right <grin>)
What's great about it: Step by step
What's not so great: Fees tacked on at the end

TTax for 2015

I've used Turbo Tax for 10 yrs or more. I'm used to the format so it's not difficult to prepare my taxes.
I have recently expanded my business and now have rental property, stocks, dividends, and K-1 forms to deal with.
The foreign taxes on foreign stocks are difficult for me so I could use a bit more in the help part for that part.
This year I entered an item on Sched E and needed to delete it completely. I kept getting error messages and couldn't delete it completely to. Finally I thought of the question/help on the website and got my answer. My fault for not having a log of things to remember when I start my returns.
The accounting knowledge needed for my returns is more each year it seems.
I wish there was an easy way to go back to the worksheets and change and entry that needed it.
I can say that Intuit has what is called a wide moat with Turbo Tax. As I get better with using it I surely would hate to have to change to a new program. The 4 stars was probably because I was aggravated over my difficulty in removing the incorrect data that I had entered.

First time using TurboTax

If you have a complicated return, I would recommend having a TurboTax tax specialist review the return with you before e-filing. I inputted some amounts into the software incorrectly and knew it was wrong upon checking the form. I called the TurboTax tax professionals and they helped me correct the input. They also made recommendations which significantly reduced my tax liability.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Software is as good as those entering the information

Yearly Foreign Tax Credit problems with Premier

Still many glitches

A few items that need refining:
If a spouse is involved who is not a US citizen and does not have a US Social Security #, what number should be used ??
If a foreign phone number is to be entered, no way ! So what in case of US citizen residing abroad ?
Although taxes for US citizens residing abroad have greatly improved, more improvement is needed, to clearly identify where certain items have to be handled...This is of great concern to me as I do my son's taxes who now lives and works in Europe, using Turbo tax...

A Long Process

Due to my significant other business and wayward 1099 we had to file an extension, first time we had to do this. We worked on the taxes as time .allowed until today when we finally finished.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax keep information together as I worked through an exteneded return
