Too much info needed

Full addresses needed on employers, donation locations, and other places not needed on IRS forms.

Best Personal Software Ever Made!

I rely on Intuit's two products, Quicken and Turbo Tax for all my personal finance, investment and income tax needs. I've used both MAC and PC versions and they are always bullet proof.
Novice or veteran Personal Computing users will appreciate this software. It is on time, reliable and value priced, year after year...
What's great about it: Simple, precise, consistent, trustworthy and proven income tax software and services.
What's not so great: I have never encountered a problem in the 20 years I've been using Turbo Tax. I purchased Release One so many years ago

Another easy tax filing year.

Overall another rather flawless filing. Only quibble was the print out of my total return. (I keep a hard and ecopy) I really need to know number of pages to be printed somehow.
What's great about it: easy install, clear instructions, chosing guided or on your own guidance a plus (I used both).
What's not so great: Some way to know how may pages are being printed. Printed my whole return and it was quite lenghty. need # of pages.
Pros: I bought or sold investments, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

txf wash sale errors

Interactive brokers is a widely used broker. I don't understand how turbotax still doesn't directly import tax forms from them. Not only that, the txf import does not correctly report wash sales. the box 8A does not bring over the code 'W' for wash sale, inspite of reporting the wash sale adjustment amount!! It seems like a very easy bug to fix in their code, yet they have not done it. I will not purchase turbotax next year.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: this is the second year where they have not fixed txf wash import

Disaster

Filing never got rid of the last few error messages; IRS hasn't called yet; CA has
now I need to stratagise for 2016 with retirement greatly changing my tax situation. There is no easy way to save new duplicate forms or even carryover to 2016

I am embarrassed to say that at 50 years old I have never done my own taxes. My mother is an accountant and when it wasn't done professionally she was always the one who did it. She was not available this year but gave me the Turbo tax software and said "just go through the whole process and answer all the questions" It was amazingly easy and really helpful to understand what information is important to keep for the future. Being organized helps a lot but at the end of the day I just had to answer the questions! I feel so liberated (and grown up) I would recommend Turbo tax without reservation. It was amazing.
What's great about it: follow the questions - easy

Super program, Turbo Tax! I had to open my previous years' return with TT14 Program in order to see Supporting Details I entered from previous year. Otherwise, all excellent

What's not so great: not carrying over Supporting Details and amounts from previous year

I really like the pop up windows for more information, including easy access to related IRS Publications.
