Turbotax works for me, and has for years

I have been a customer of MacInTax (now TurboTax) since the days of 512k "Fat Macs."
TurboTax just works!
I almost always file an Extension, and I'm always overpaid (by design) so I am not compelled to fit into the April 15th craziness.
Working with TurboTax on my own schedule, as docs and data and my own time become available. I can work on small chunks, rather than having to get everything together for an appointment with a CPA which needed to be made months ago.
Never had any issues with accuracy.
The documentation and manuals do as good a job as any in explaining the complexities of tax codes.
So to repeat: TurboTax works for me! Your mileage may vary.

What's great about it: Comprehensive, Encyclopedic Does everything that I need
What's not so great: Navigation between Forms and EasyStep is cumbersome. No way to run "What if?" Scenarios to look at alternate approaches

Got an error message about Bank interest and another about foreign banks. Neither had any context until I flipped the view to the forms. That should be automatic or should be in a background window. EasySteps do not work if you have to be an expert after all.
What's great about it: Improved integration with state return processing
What's not so great: Error message had not context

I will buy the product Again & Again; WELL Worth the money.
What's great about it: Through & Detailed, Mostly Easy Instructions to Follow. I Felt In-Charge of what I was doing.
What's not so great: HSA Account Numbers were Difficult to Reconcile with the Instructions on the Error Report.

Really good tax filing

I found my accountant a few years ago was using turbo tax. I do my own taxes now and have them reviewed by a CPA friend. I like the fact that I was able to download most of the information. My only problem was with medical deductions. But the help tips were great and cleared up the problem.
What's great about it: Easy to step through and very detailed
What's not so great: Medical deductions were a little confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
