good service
What's great about it: Easy quick clear
What's not so great: maybe a heads up or list of all the docs I may require prior to starting
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I had a lot of problems getting the K-1 forms done correctly. I often received error messages that had no relationship to what was printed on the K-1 forms.
What's great about it: nice interface, easy to use
What's not so great: lots of problems with K-1 forms

Foreign Taxes Difficulty
on August 2, 2016

Program hung on submitting tax return and could not be over-ridden. Issue involved country not matching between worksheet and form 1116. Had foreign taxes from brokerage statement and from a K-1 from a trust with brokerage accounts. Amount of foreign taxes minor.
What's not so great: Program hung on submitting tax return

2014 Premier Review

When you have a K-1 within a qualified account this program does not include and says it is not needed. but it does not say why it is not needed. The IRS sight does not address this specific item either.
When you have a dependent that does not have medical coverage, it assesses the penalty based on the parent incomes and not the child's. The program shows that you should be able to determine the penalty on a family or an individual basis, but it did not give me the option. (The dependent is an adult, but not living in the same household.)
What's great about it: Easy to set up and start; fairly intuitive
What's not so great: Some specific items do not have a clear help response
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Used TurboTax 2014 after the fact.

I did not file my 2014 taxes until the Summer of 2016. Intuit allowed me to purchase the 2014 TurboTax software and complete my tax return. I had a decent return just hanging out in limbo and now I can get it back. My uncle is a CPA who has helped us with our taxes in the past. This year he was swamped and recommended TurboTax. I am very grateful to both my uncle and the software.
What's great about it: Very simple and easy to use, but still very detailed.
What's not so great: Some of the internal product advertisements confused me.
Pros: I moved

Disappointed

This customer did not provide a text review.
What's great about it: The basic TT program is still pleasant to work with,
What's not so great: The add ons for refunds and payments are confusing and I was unable to change them even before I filed.

ACTUALLY WHATEVER CHANGES YOU MADE I FOUND A BIT CONFUSING AT FIRST. I HAD A HARD TIME FINDING THE 1099 FOR THE OTHER INCOME , BUT IT ALL FELL TOGETHER ONCE I GOT INTO DOING MY TAXES. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, I KEEP USING TURBO TAX TO DO MY TAXES!
What's great about it: FOUND ALL THE MONEY!
What's not so great: HARD TO FIND 1099!
Pros: I moved

Great product but had one small problem which I was able to work around. Have used it for years and found it to be the best software around.
Especially helpful for rental properties and other situation that require that you do a depreciation recapture upon sale.
What's great about it: quick, complete, helpful advice for the most tax needs
What's not so great: Seemed to want to insist that I named a K-1 even though all my K-1's had named and tax ID numbers.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
