Frustration Prior to Filing

I like using Turbo Tax every year. The past couple of years I have disliked having to review information about charitable addresses and charitable ownership's each time when reviewing charitable contributions.
This year I was caught in a loop when trying to file my federal return because information was apparently missing regarding Part III - Line 16 from my Schedule K-1's. The K-1's we received did not include any D, E, or F codes regarding foreign transactions -- just code L without any country names. The program would not let me over ride this or proceed to filing -- all for $5 of foreign taxes paid. Next time I won't include the Line 16 data
What's great about it: Year to year consistency; accuracy; methodical.
What's not so great: Reentering certain info; problem with Line 16 on Schedule K-1.

Excellent as always

I've been using TurboTax for many years and wouldn't change. My taxes have rental income, business income and stock sales and I always get through them and feel confident they are done correctly.
What's great about it: mostly easy to understand
What's not so great: a few items are a little difficult to understand but I'm able to figure them out.

First Time user, fairly complicated return

I have paid an accountant for years to do my somewhat complicated taxes (several K-1s, etc). Turbo Tax handled all the complexity great and I saved $1500
What's great about it: Software is very easy to follow
What's not so great: None that i found
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I appreciate all the propagating and checking and cordiality of the program. It doesn't make you feel stupid. I have taken my forms to a CPA for review and he offered to hire me!
What's great about it: ease of use

Used to be better

If they still have the videos, they've hidden them quite well. It seems more and more challenging to find things. Also, I filed an extension and sent a payment in. It doesn't show the payment I made, which I would think would be a no brainer.
What's great about it: remembers your info from previous year
What's not so great: They used to have nice videos explaining certain aspects of the taxes...what was allowed and what wasn't, etc. Not now

I love TurboTax and especially the free tax advice I get with TT Premier. I did not see one important question this time, but I may have simply missed it.
I did not see "What amount did you pay when you filed for an extension?"
I realized the error and was able to fix it myself by adding the amount to Line 70 on my 1040.
I've been using TT for over 10 years and will continue to do so. Even if I was to hire a CPA, I would still use TT to double check the return.
What's not so great: One question seemed to be missing

Even if you do not understand taxes, Turbo Tax can walk you through to insure you have accounted for everything. For most taxpayers this is all they need..
What's great about it: Best and only way to file a return!
What's not so great: Need a lot of personal before getting to file electronically
