Frustrating flaws but otherwise easy

I am assuming that the problems with turbotax 2015 may have to do with the format of Windows 10, but I would have expected TurboTax to have caught it and posted an answer long before now (June) as to how to get past this problem. I am a regular user of Turbo tax and have never had this problem before. The final frustration is that there is no phone number listed to get help. If you submit a question who knows when you will get an answer (based on the lack of an answer to similar questions by others). This inability to get help via phone or online chat alone definitely makes me think twice about the value of using Turbo tax.
What's great about it: Interview style was comfortable and easy to use
What's not so great: button to pay for e-file or audit defense did not work; frequently asked questions about this were not answered

Concern about e-file reliability

Originally e-filed on 04-15-2016 to pay taxes due to IRS. Checked status on 06-12-2016 and my turbo file indicated account had not been e-filed. It's hard to understand what happened but original file was hard copied showing filing before April 15th deadline. Now it seems I'll be penalized for late filing. How could this happen?

Over all I have used Turbo Tax for years now and find it is one of the best if not the best to use when filing taxes. The new revisions year to year may require you to be more attentive and t avoid any mistakes you have to later go back and change.
What's great about it: Methodical and easy to use. Thorough step by step gives peace of mind.
What's not so great: Sometimes round about when going back fix items. Jump keys to the prior page you want would be great.

My annual sanity check

Every year, I switch immediately to Forms view. When I've entered everything, TurboTax goes back to step-by-step, finds all my oversights, guides me to fixing them, and submission is smooth as can be. I wish the initial payment included not only one state but also that state's filing fee. That would tamp down late surprises. Also, instead of "upselling" when additional forms are needed, it would be nice if there were just TurboTax online and TurboTax desktop. One size adjusts to all situations. And one fee, regardless.
What's great about it: Files correctly, now for the 30th year
What's not so great: Why multiple versions? Sell one version and be done with it

Expat filing

I like turbotax but the expat part of the software is not robust. Much of the software is not functional for expats. A standalone expat package or an expat option, which removes all the domestic content would make this easier to use as it is currently very confusing.
What's great about it: Very convenient and great for using previous year's information
What's not so great: Still not straightforward for expats

What's great about it: filled out forms
What's not so great: I looked up more IRS information on my own time.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments, I moved
