Great tax software - We've been using since 2008 and each time Turbo Tax has worked for us. We don't have the time or energy to sit in at a tax company and let a stranger review our personal information.
See ya next year this same time
Great job Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Easy to use and nets a large refund.
What's not so great: Once we were forced to upgrade to different version to get the max refund

Generally easy to use

I've used TT for over 10 years and generally it does very well. For some reason this year int did;t carry over all the needed info from last years return so i had to re-enter some data. It also never asked me how much the costs were to repair flood damage I experienced. It turned out that they weren't deductible in my case but TT could not have known that. I had to go to the forms and actually input the data.
What's great about it: covers all the needed details
What's not so great: in some cases it does;t explain why some data is not asked fro (for instance, it did;t ask me how much it cost to repair

Taxes made easy

I love TurboTax, I have been using it for several years. It is easy to use, but very comprehensive. It walks you through the process asking you questions, and you supply the answers. It si great, I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Great program, easy to use, walks you through everything you need
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Quick and Painless

I don't have an excessive amount of deductions so Turbo Tax is exactly what I need to get my taxes done quickly and efficiently. I like that it keeps previously stored information which is recalled each year saving time of having to re-enter unchanged information.
What's great about it: Quick and Painless
What's not so great: A little slow starting up

Turbo Tax lost files

I have been a satisfied Turbo Tax user for ten years. This year my files for the last three years are missing.
I was able to find them on my backup so they were there before I uninstalled Turbo Tax 2014 and installed Turbo Tax 2015.
I purchased a new car in 2015 but Turbo Tax didn't give me the option to enter the extra sales tax. I had to go to the user forum for help. They had a work around.
Otherwise Turbo Tax was great. I plan on purchasing Turbo Tax next year

quicken or is it intuit

So i love Turbo Tax, but logging in is difficult, there is my turbo tax login, my intuit login and of off course my quicken login. Guys help me consolidate my accounts. your online profiles are to complex. your software on the other hand is excellent for the 10th year.

Continued Excellence

2015 Turbo tax was easy and thorough as you would expect. I use TT Business and Premier every year and have for over 16 years now, and I know I can depend on filing an accurate return every time.
What's great about it: Easy, quick and well formatted
What's not so great: I had to go back to do my schedule C properly

Good to Be Finished!!

If you have international mutual funds and your state allows a tax credit for income received, you may need to enter the information yourself. The NC tax credit did not flow into the NC return from the Federal - I had to first know that it was an available credit and second how to manually enter it onto the Tax Credit form.
On the Federal medical forms, it would have been helpful if instructions stated to include, as an expense, those medical bills paid with the HSA. Originally I did not enter them and yet knew the numbers shown were not accurate. Once I realized medical bills paid through the HSA were deducted from entered medical expenses, I entered those bills into the medical forms and the numbers were accurate.
