I am very disappointed with turbo tax.
What's great about it: good if you have a simple return
What's not so great: not good for anything other than a simple return

You are required to do direct deposit if you are paying for the processing of the state return out of your refund.
What's great about it: Process was easy
What's not so great: Paying for the state refund

Easy to use and thorough, great transfer and comparison of data from previous years, fool proof interview step by step, and easy to navigate "go to " menu.
What's great about it: Easy to use, excellent transfering and comparing data from previous year, fantastic thorough step by step interview metu
What's not so great: nothing I can think of

Overall good. Easy to use and I appreciate that it checks the math for me.
What's not so great: The repetition and doublechecking is annoying.

if you do VIX futures - BEWARE - TurboTax will NOT import them. You gotta hassle with the program still to work through them.
It DOES import the cost basis for "normal" stock trades now - directly from Ameritrade in my case. That is better instead of having the hack to vector through GainsKeeper. So kudos to the TT dev team for helping with this feature.
What's great about it: quite comprehensive and getting better
What's not so great: still SILENTLY ignores items on download from brokerage

I've used TT for many years and it seems to work very well. The one frustrating problem I've had for the last few years is that for some reason there is no scroll down bar each time I go to the next page. I found out by trial and error that if I start to expand the page the bar will appear but if I don't quickly put the cursor on the bar it will disappear again. It usually takes about three tries. I use an Apple by the way. The scroll down arrows don't work.

We are US Citizens living abroad both over 70. While we are not qualified for US Social Security Retirement Benefits, we are qualified for our country of residence Retirement Benefits which we receive on a monthly basis. There is no place to declare this income in Turbo Tax Premier 2015. Likewise, the monthly pension income my wife receive from the place she used to work for.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: No Place to put Retirement Benefits

First time user of tax software, and I am sold! A friend recommended your software package and I am delighted.
What's great about it: The questions given and the organization of each page are very well done.
What's not so great: Sometimes would have liked to speak to a living human being not a database.
