Difficulty filing

First of all, Turbotax missed a couple of items. If I hadn't been reading the pubs, I would have missed some key points. Not only that, I had to go looking to find out where to insert them. Could have been a MAJOR problem.
Second, I selected to file my fed return on April 15. I found out on the 20th they hadn't been filed. I found out on the 22nd that they had been rejected. I refiled them today.
I tried to order the "insurance" item, and still don't know if that "took", and if I am covered.
TT has gotten more complicated and harder to use over the years. Why???

What's great about it: does my computations
What's not so great: Sometimes misses, difficult filing

Error partially my fault

Need to make depreciation schedules carry over year to year.
What's great about it: still a very good program to use, nice step by step process
What's not so great: However, when you step away it's hard to find what you need

eFile did not work. I had to print and send in a return. System should allow uses to submit return by eFile instead of instructing users to print and mail return…..
What's great about it: Was able to load banking an W2 information without problem
What's not so great: eFile did not work

Great product

As always TurboTax helped me get through my return. I had a more complicated return than in years passed but the step by step instructions allowed me to do it all myself and, for the most part, in a single afternoon.
Great product!
What's great about it: Easy to follow along
What's not so great: Filing extensions wasn't difficult, but wasn't as straightforward either.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

One BIG Suggestion

I have been a loyal Turbo Tax user since 2004 and highly recommend it for its ease and complete access to info. I do have one suggestion...that the Turbo tax summary page not show the complete bank account and routing information of the user receiving the refund. In this day and age of rampant identity theft, I see no reason whatsoever to have to include these numbers without the customary xxxxx/ and I suggest that Turbo Tax change this. When I have to provide a copy of my tax return, I would like to be able to save/have a version that does not include this summary or filing instructions.
What's great about it: Easy to use, frequent updates
What's not so great: Info is not secure

Making Taxes as Easy as Possible

Turbo tax over the past years has been the only thing that gets me through tax season without stressing me out. It is still stressful but wioth Turbo Tax I have the confidence that I did my taxes correctly with little chance of an audit. That helsp relieve the stress and anxiety of filing my income taxes, and make April deadline at leasty bearable. It has been especially helpful as I am now renting my house and the tax code requirements of wha t to claim and what not to claim are not written so a normal human being can get through them. That is where Turbo Tax saves the day!
What's great about it: I really appreciate the way that Turbo Tax walks me through the entire process so that I am confident I didn't miss any
What's not so great: I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and every year it seems to get a little better.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
