I have used Turbo Tax for many years and this is the first year (tax year 2015) that the first page with the final processing instructions did not print with my federal return. This caused me a lot of anxiety at the last hour of preparing my return. I depend on those instructions as the final checklist before submitting my return. (The state return instructions printed). I tried to trouble shoot the problem, but didn't have any luck. I did my best to follow a previous year's instructions, but considering the cost of this software, I should not have to do that. I hope this glitch is fixed before next year, because I do plan to continue to use Turbo Tax, even with this problem.

Turbo Tax gives you step by step instructions and explanations for everything. Great and easy to use.
What's great about it: Clear instructions
What's not so great: ??
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Amazingly well organized and thorough

No real problems. Amazingly quick filing and confirmation of acceptance of forms from both Fed and state agencies.
What's great about it: Easy entry and transition between forms and input pages
What's not so great: I had trouble with a real estate sale/program wouldn't let me uncheck a block and I had to delete it and re-enter
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

FOR SOME REASON MY E-FILE WAS IN A LOOP - I THOUGHT IT WENT THRU BUT ONLY THE INTUIT CHARGE WENT THRU -- THAT FIGURES. MY TAXES WERE A DAY LATE

Used TurboTax for 20 years plus

As guardians of our adult incapacitated daughter, the medical and legal world caused horrific problems for us and our daughter. TurboTax could make it easier for these exceptional circumstances to provide for a guardian easily filing for their ward taking one problem off the table.
What's great about it: Consistent over the years. Used to it.
What's not so great: This year a problem because we are guardians

payment filing

used credit card to pay for state filing. problem, takes too long to access account to review credit card info. then the system timed out. seems like this should be automatically pulled into appropriate field. something should be done to make payment easier
