Great Program - Easy to Use

not as good as before

Crashed on windows 10 all the time. Had to install to another computer. There are multiple choice questions presented as single choice, e.g. 1) have a employee stockplan 2) you know 1099-G is not correct 3) none of above.
Also, in many cases, "none of above" is a choice and you can skip it, which also means "none of above", which doesn't make any sense.

Not Easy!

Excellent as always. My taxes are as complicated as they can be with the exception of a business, and I make it through every year, and selling a rental property upped the ante this year. Also filing 2 separate states taxes is extremely easy although paying to e-file 2 state taxes I owe $0 in taxes seems stupid, but this is life.

What's great about it: Ease of finding informaton on complicated situations especially rental properties.
What's not so great: None, I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years for a reason!

Another Year, Another Return

Used TT for a number of years. Has always worked well for me. Retired with several IRAs and an extensive portfolio of stocks and bonds so we have lots of entries to make. The questions cover all aspects. Always have it reviewed afterwards by my CPA. Rarely finds any serious problems. Most error are my data entry.
What's great about it: Lots of details questions that keep you on track
What's not so great: None really

Idiot-Proof as Usual

TurboTax is my tax preparer - plain and simple! And it doesn't mind tutoring me about what's going on when I ask.
What's great about it: Straight forward, and I like the 'Do only what I need' option.
What's not so great: Having to keep entering the identical vehicle info for multiple rental properties is a pain and ought to be fixed.

Turbo Tax Premier

I have been using this since the late 1980's. Had a few problems early on, but no longer keep up with the tax code like I used to, so don't know if there are problems now. No longer use easy step for the 1040, but it used to work pretty well. It should allow free filing for the state and it is too expensive for what it does.
What's great about it: It does the job and is easier than doing it by hand
What's not so great: It's too expensive & not sure it is as good as it used to be
