What happened?

I use TurboTax every year and find it is a great program. This year however, the state tax forms when you printed them out for normal filing via mail, contained the "watermark" of DO NOT FILE - NOT FINAL FORM. I tried various ways to try to amend this to no avail. So I had to go pick up regular forms elsewhere and fill them out by hand. Not sure why TurboTax/Intuit changed things up this year but it was very annoying.
What's great about it: easy to use, detailed step by step instructions
What's not so great: State tax forms were not fileable

Good Tool

I have ben a TurboTax user for over 15 years and it is the easiest and simpliest way to file taxes. WIth my changing status- TurboTax makes sure that it asks all the right questions for the maximum deductions and credits while looking forward to make sure I am not missing or making mistakes
What's great about it: easy to use- easily explained and very detailed
What's not so great: not much
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

State still in limbo

Continued problems getting a State printout. Never had all this frustration in all the years of using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Federal easy, filed no problem
What's not so great: State is still not complete

Problem with Property Tax Credit MO CRP Form

The landlord FEIN info I entered on the Property Tax Credit Worksheet would not transfer over to the MO CRP form properly. The MO CRP form has a 4 digit box for the last 4 digits of the landlord's social security number and a 9 digit box for the landlord's FEIN info. When I entered the 9 digit FEIN info on the Property Tax Credit Worksheet, the software would transfer the first 4 digits of the 9 digit FEIN number over to the landlord's social security 4 digit box on the MO CRP form, which is incorrect. Customer support tried helping me with this problem and we thought the problem was corrected, but once I disconnected from customer support and tried to print out the MO CRP form, the problem reoccurred and could not get it corrected. I was using the Premier version of Turbo Tax and I really think the software needs to be revised and corrected so this problem does not keep happening.
What's great about it: Love that the software calculates everything for you and walks you through the software step by step.
What's not so great: Landlord FEIN info entered on Property Tax Credit Worksheet would not transfer properly to MO CRP form

What's not so great: Could not pay state filing fee with refund deduction when you have a state refund but need to pay federal tax.

Selling Rental Property

This software area is uncharacteristically hard to understand and navigate.
Suggest you simplify and make more obvious the steps and places needed to properly report events associated with the sale of a rental property.
