What's great about it: my return flowed effortlessly, inspite of 1st time issues that I had to file with retirement
What's not so great: could not figure out how to see current forms
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good product but the PDF and print formatting seem to be an after thought, 80% effort.
Review/Error Detection phase of the process could also use some user interface attention. How about a heads up when switching from Intuit formatting to IRS form format. I worked through it, but it wasn't intuitive
What's great about it: High marks for ease of use
What's not so great: Format of completed return is unacceptable... alignment, readability, etc

researched the 70 1/2 RMD as to be done by 1 April 2016. I finished that by March but did not find how to load in Turbo. i did not get tax forms from the banks so..... I understand that I did 2015 RMD and have to do the 2016 RMD by Dec 31 2016. hope that they fit on the same form with different years.
What's great about it: the program did the math !
What's not so great: the contributions did not carry forward. ?

"Forms" needs some work
on April 18, 2016

When in Forms, and you have a worksheet feeding a value in a tax form, it's extremely kludgy to get to the connected worksheet, you have to know the name of it, and access it thru Open Forms. You should be able to direct access it with a double click or something [like how it works if you have your own subwindow within a box].
Also the list of Forms on the left column, very inconsistently named, some have "form" before the number, some don't, makes it very hard to find. How about standardizing & alphabetizing it? Some worksheets are listed next too their resultant forms, others are way down at the end.
Also when inputting a value & hitting "return" will often send you to the next form [!?!] instead of to the next box within the form you're working on.
What's great about it: automatic calculations
What's not so great: in Forms, can't directly access a worksheet locked box, & other problems

I am an elderly widow. Retired school teacher. Have lived in the same home for forty years. Own a rental home. Have enjoyed using TurboTax several times. Only one request. Would appreciate a check list that I could print out (following the same format used in your software). Though you have many organized check lists in your online program, I would appreciate a printed list in a binder so that I could leaf through it, make personal comments, and use it as a checklist as I move away from my computer..
Thank you for your consideration. I would even be willing to "copy" the lists online ... but have been unable to do so.

Gets Better Every Year!!

Ever since we went to an accountant in 1993 & 1994 and we realized that he was running our carefully-information through a tax software program (and still making errors!), we have used TurboTax. Once you have all of your information ready you can breeze right through it. If you miss something, the step-by-step instructions will help you catch it. Every year it gets better and better! It keeps the information from the prior years, cutting down on having to re-enter it. The online resources get better every year, too! I can't wait to see what next year brings!
What's great about it: Step-by-Step Guidance; Online Resources
What's not so great: Didn't catch an error I made in State Income, but I did.

Most of my time seems to be spent going back and forth to ensure I've covered everything. The once I back up, I have to re-enter the data already entered and sometimes get an entirely different screen.
What's not so great: Please keep the same format every year.
