You have to take a lot in faith, but I guess it'll work out.
What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: I hate that you charge for State filing!!!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Mostly good but problems came up

Turbo Tax would not accept the Payer ID for a 1099-Misc for the State of Nevada. This was not some obscure small business, it was the Nevada government 9-digit code. This gave an error that would not go away, and prevented me from filing electronically. There was no address given by Turbo Tax for mailing a return to the IRS. I mistakenly mailed it to the address that prints at the beginning of the print file, for making quarterly payments to the IRS. These were useless, as I should get a refund. Why do they print out and why is there no information on what TT is printing? I later found out I should send my return to Fresno CA, not Cincinatti OH. I never had these problems in the past with TT. I'm dissatisfied with the 2015 product.
What's great about it: Intuitive and easy to use until problems come up
What's not so great: Payer ID for 1099-MISC, no mail address for paper filing

Overall this product has gotten better over the years and I feel sure it will continue to improve, taxes are still a pain, but this program helps to get through it.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Doesn't always let you know how to how to fix the errors it finds

Disappointed me.

TT made E-filing so hard I opted to mail it in. Wouldn't let me E-File because of the deleted form. Bad software glitch.
What's great about it: easy to use and helpful
What's not so great: After deleting a form, TT insisted I fill it back in. This was an IRA K-1
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have used Turbo Tax Premier for years. It is always thorough and intuitive. This year's version seemed to be even more so. Most of the questions made perfect sense. Whenever i was a little confused, there were good explanatory notes to help me figure it out.
Further Turbo Tax grabs the previous year's data and makes the amount of data enter even less.
I will continue using Turbo Tax well into the future.
What's great about it: easy to walk thru.
What's not so great: long, but so are the darned IRS forms
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Have used Turbo Tax since 2012, at least, and once again very satisfied with the drivers that lead me through the return. Makes it easy not to forget something along the way.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

6th year with TT

I would recommend TT to anyone filing a relatively simple return: Federal, 1-State. I have several limited partnership investments and an LLC investment: no problem for TT.
What's great about it: fast, efficient, cost effective
What's not so great: are there any?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

On the whole much better & easier to use; like the 2015 version a lot! Definitely worth the upgrade to Premier to simplify entries for multiple short-/long-term brokerage transactions!
What's great about it: Easier & quicker concurrent state computation
What's not so great: A little confusiing since running result changes aren't constant
Pros: I bought or sold investments
