easy to use

The software is easy to use and allows the user to either go step by step or to hand pick what the user wants to work on. It's very convenient that efile is automatically included. I wish the software included one state return. It seems like a nickel and dime tactic....everyone needs to file both federal and state just include it in the price to begin with.
What's great about it: efile is quick
What's not so great: one state return should be included via efile
Pros: I bought or sold investments, I had a baby

Have used Turbo Tax for several years successfully. Very similar to the software I used when working at CPA firm.
What's great about it: Easy to use walk through
What's not so great: When I stopped and went back later, it took me through the who;e thing again

Problems with the program

The software locked up the screen a couple of times then starting working again. Although at first the touch screen worked but then quit and then worked sporadically through the rest of the process. I had to revert to a mouse.
I used the program on a Surface Pro 2 running Windows 10.

Not as good in past years

Been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years, it is very good but this year it was impossible to print a selected form. I did not want to print the entire return.

Very easy To Do

Easy to use. Didn't like the guided view since i added information as it came in or was updated. Turbo Tax assumes I'm doing my return all at once. Form view took care of that. I have a part time job with the Virginia Government and there is a benefit to my Virginia taxes if I earn less than a specific amount. Finding that check box to indicate the W-2 came from Virginia was a bear. IMHO, it should have been on the screen where i enter the W-2 information or in my personal State worksheet.
What's great about it: Explanations were easy. Am familar with forms mode so no comment on Walking Me through
What's not so great: Had a horrible time finding the check box for my W-2 being from a VA Government

Excellent Experience

We have used TurboTax for the last 7 years and have been satisfied except for con mentioned above.
What's great about it: Simple to follow directions. Multiple checks for accuracy. efile and print availablity
What's not so great: Last 2 years, I had to buy a more expensive package to file rent on tiny vacant lot. Included in smaller package before
