Turbo Tax

I will use Turbo Tax again. However, it proved frustrating at times- especially filing state tax and paying Turbo Tax for it ;(
What's great about it: questions answered
What's not so great: confusing; some areas didn't record properly- health insurance, for instance

I"ve been selected by my siblings to watch over my aging mother's financial things over the years - including her taxes. The return is not that difficult, but I do like that I can do it alongside my own and have everyting in a similar format (And I like that I can save everyting in turbotax's format as well as a pdf shoudl I ever need it (and not paper). Makes it easy to pass onto siblings if the need arises.
What's great about it: Can do my mother's return as well as my own

Rental Property

It should be a separate section named specifically 'Rental Property' as you are going step to step. I am a retired accountant and it is never clear and I always have to backtrack. If I did not have the knowledge that I have I would not known how to do it.
What's not so great: It is never clear when the Rental Property comes into play. I always end up having to fill out my own Sch. E. and Depr.

displeased mac user

I found it convenient to install, record information, and file electronically, but only my personal return. The 1065 for my LLC required Windows - it doesn't run on MacOS. i figured I could run it under Paralells, but no luck - they don't support Windows XP and I have no reason to run a newer version of Windows.
What's great about it: easy to file personal return
What's not so great: 1065 for my LLC not supported for mac

Dependable, and WAY easier than doing manually!

I've been using TT for years. Began using it when it was still Mac 'n Tax (before being bought up & combined with TurboTax). It still gets the job done, in a reasonable amount of time, and since I use the Interview method, it takes away the stress of trying to figure out the right forms to use. Took a little longer this year because of the Healthcare section, but was glad to have the interview method to get through it!
What's great about it: Importing! (all prior year info & summaries from financial companies)
What's not so great: Doesn't seem quite as friendly & fun as in prior years

This customer did not provide a text review.
What's great about it: very slick download from my taxable account broker
What's not so great: tedious entry for similar charitable donations as last year
