No more hand taxes

Great program, some nickel and diming though

Very easy to use, helpful program. Easy to transfer last years info. Gives most options available. Covers most situations and you can look to see the best way to submit if there are a few options. Easy to file federal.
After home state, cost per state, then an additional cost to file per state makes the program go from cost effective to pricey.
Overall nice product.
What's great about it: Software easy to use and very comprhensive
What's not so great: additional costs per state then additional costs per state filing

Better Than Paper Filing For Sure!

Overall, I definitely prefer to use TurboTax (TT) over paper data entry for ease of data entry & change/update info. Also, the electronic help tips & explanations are useful. There are a few things I would suggest TT to improve on 1) Automatically go into sections (income or deductions) that I have a value entered in the previous year and ask me to change amount (or enter $0 if it is no longer applicable) instead of current process of requiring me to enter [Update] for each item that has a value from previous year. NOTE: A complete list for possible data entry should still be displayed. 2) Include 1045 form & maintain NOLs calculation & transfer data for future years just like what TT currently does for capital gains/loss. 3) For 2015 filing, IRS has section to fill out the PIN they sent for Identity Protection, yet TT e-filing process did not inquire if filer receive this special PIN. This needs to be added.
What's great about it: Auto-transfer of data from previous years is a plus.
What's not so great: Does not keep track & transfer NOLs.

Needs Improving

Turbo Tax has been around for a long time and it appears that not much has improved. Moving from one area of the return to another is too difficult if you need to go back to make a correction. Exiting e-file to print state return is much too difficult. I will try another tax program to compare it against Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Guiding
What's not so great: Not easy to go back to a subject. Efiling much to dfficult to exit and just mail returns

Harder to get where you want in the files...not well marked.
What's great about it: downloads last years info
What's not so great: more complicated, poorly laid out
