TTAX FOREVER

Have been using TTAX for over 25 years, and it keeps getting better and easier. I have a pretty complicated return, with several rental properties, hard money loan interest and other interest income, many HELOC's, Partnerships, etc, and I have been able to use TTAX all this time as my rental properties and involvement grew. I do it all myself, with help from the TTAX support community when I run into problems or questionable situations.
Just outstanding in every way!
What's great about it: And that's about how long have been and will be using it
What's not so great: Not free

TT Premier is horrible at affording one any viable information towards RSU sales without the proper cost basis. This portion of their sw is lacking to say the least. If they want to drive folks like me to CPAs, they're doing a splendid job.
What's great about it: Most everything was covered

I like the explanations of things right there where items are being entered. Going back to review a section, though, some questions have to be answered again. Why are the original answers not there? If I am "editing", then I expect my original answers to questions to be as I answered them, and thus be available to "edit"....not blank to be re-entered.
A rental entry for an item that could be the one time deduction asset did not transfer over to the California form....and then I went through many "edits" trying to "fix" it. I didn't understand the form, or what the "fix" was supposed to be. other than that issue, I like using TurboTax.
It would be nice, though, to have a beginning page that outlines all the categories in the order in which TT asks for the information. That way, I could pick what applies to me and set my files up accordingly, and have the papers ready to enter.
What's great about it: explains things as you go
What's not so great: when reviewing, you have to reenter some questions

You are missing information about the occasion when someone has electronically filed and your electronic filing has been rejected. The program keeps trying to get you to electronically file when it is impossible to do so because a filing with your ssn has already been recieved, even though it has been found to be fraudulent.

The purchased version comes with one state. I need to do two more states and the state is not cheap. Maybe TT should offer discounts for people like me who needs to do 3 states return.
