Good Experience!

I managed to get through it this year with only two corrections required. Each year I do this it gets clearer and clearer to me.
What's great about it: It was presented in a way that I could understand.
What's not so great: It felt like it took forever to go through because of my situation.

Turbo tax premier

This is great for us since we own a rental property. Everything was pretty smooth I like how it imports all the info from the previous year that I used Turbotax. I struggled with expensing mileage to manage my rental, it takes a lot of questions to get there. All in all I use this software every years and feel very confident.
What's great about it: very easy to follow
What's not so great: had trouble with expensing business mileage

Expected Better

i was disappointed that some errors weren't caught until i started to e file. Also there was some other areas that was skipped until i did an error check.
What's great about it: easy to do - step by step
What's not so great: didn't catch all the errors until after prompted to print

Last Second Identification of Issue Causes Stress

Turbo Tax review of my forms said everything was fine. I set up to send payment to IRS and pressed the button to submit tax forms to IRS and it gives me a new message saying I can't submit my forms without filling in W4 information for the following tax year. There is no supporting help information on this topic so I just filled in the form but I'm angy that I had to submit 2016 information in my 2015 form. I tried to send without submitting this information but it would not allow the form to transmit.
What's great about it: Quick
What's not so great: Requiring W4 Information for following Tax Year?

2015 TT had two bugs for me

once again this yr TT can NOT properly handle a private mortgage. Like some parents we hold mortgage on a daughter's. she pays us instead of a bank.. TT has no place to report this for us and her so we're forced to call it a seller financed mortgage which it is not. We
also sold a rental condo that was furnished but buyer did not want furnishings. We converted them to personal use. TT improperly took a loss on disposal. When i fixed this on the form level, we were prevented from e-filing. it literately took hrs to find the right worksheet to fix what was TT's mistake in the first place.
also there should be an EZ way to turn off estimated pymts. I never need them. but every yr TT wants to print them for FED & state
