Yay You!

It's a great system. I have used Turbo Tax for the last 9 out of 10 years. That other year I used a cheaper brand - not a good thing!
I will stay with Turbo Tax. It is very simple to use and shortens the time it takes to get the job done. It is also great that it checks for errors and audit risk. It gives us more assurance than us doing it ourselves. Also, I'm not confident to use the seasonal tax people. I trust Turbo Tax, and have never had a problem with a return. Thank you for such a great product!!

What's great about it: Very user friendly; I appreciate not filling out all the paperwork & having it checked for errors.
What's not so great: I'd like it to trust me that I don't have to fill out a state form!

TurboTax used again

Very good software. I have been using TurboTax since 1999 and am pleased with putting my details into the program. It takes quite a bit of time to go through the steps, but that is to be expected with the details of my tax records.
What's great about it: Very detailed, suitable for an engineer to use.

State of North Dakota filing issue

If one spouse is part time resident and other is full time resident you get stuck in an endless loop on the ND-1NR form.
The fix, file a dummy federal return with filing separately. You then send in the federal joint filing and the two separate ND files, one for each spouse.
What's great about it: Easy to do
What's not so great: endless loop for some married couples

Comprehensive yet simplistic

I have used this product for over 9 years it continually impresses with up to date upgrades to tax law as well as technical capabilities
What's great about it: Have used for years and continues to expand and improve
What's not so great: help section could improve regarding search of like questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is easy to understand and use.

Prior years were better

It would be nice to be able to do what if calculations. Previous versions of the software made this easier. Also it would be nicer to follow the order of the forms. For instance, it left the routing number and account number until the filing step. When I printed this out these fields were filled with Xs and I didn't know if it was x'd out for security or wasn't filled it. I had to go back to the forms to check it out. Then realized upon going further it called for that info later in the filing process. Also Key Bank import did not work and had to type these in by hand.
What's great about it: Filed electronically
What's not so great: Was unable to do what if calculations
