What's great about it: pretty straight forward process as usual
What's not so great: details on miscellaneous expenses and how/what can be deducted could be improved

Not As Good!

Probably the last year I will use TurboTax. I've been using it for 10+ years and this year was a true headache. I got to parts of my return and it would not show me where there were mistakes and it wouldn't let me proceed until I corrected a certain area, but I couldn't navigate past that area to check my other info. Bottomline....Roadbloclk!
What's great about it: Easy to navigate screens
What's not so great: It won't tell you where there are mistakes!

What's great about it: very helpful identifying info needed/issues to be addressed
What's not so great: extra states are way overpriced. Each additional state costs as much or more than the Fed with One state original purch

Too Easy

The best feature of Turbo Tax is the ability to electronically transfer information from employers, banks, investments, etc., into the tax program. Also, the ease of electronic payment options when there's the misfortune of having to pay.
What's great about it: Info transfer
What's not so great: Had to PAY this year

Finished return on time

With stocks and filling out schedule Ks for investments, it can get confusing. I wanted to add a new schedule K for an investment I had already done (I have two with the same company) and i could not figure out how to do it. However, since it was an IRA investment, I found I didn't need to complete another schedule k.
What's great about it: good to use the interview but I still like to go to the forms to fill in information
What's not so great: Could not figure out how to add new schedule k for same company not easy

Completing the reruns (fed and state) was easy and everything was done accurately. Transfer of data between forms is very convenient. But please find another third party partner to complete the payment of tax due by credit card. A 2.5% fee is ridiculous!!
What's great about it: Return was completed accurately. Easy to complete.
What's not so great: E-file by credit card much too expensive!

Generally straightforward and easy

For completion of Schedule K1 information, lines 13, 17 and 20 need more input lines in Turbo Tax so all information from statement can be added. Some of the information may not be needed depending on an individuals situation, but it would be good to add all lines and then let the software figure out what is needed for the individual filer.
What's great about it: Does a good job walking you through to complete your taxes
What's not so great: Need more focus on Schedule K1's. Some of the boxes like 13, 17 and 20 do not have enough lines to enter all info.

Every year it just gets more expensive to purchase. Plus e file to state increased in price.
