Turbo Tax Review

In past years the data was always saved automatically. Most of my data was lost because I was expecting it to be saved.
I found that I had to download it to "Downloads" . Then I could pull it back up when needed. Also, turbo tax prints too many forms. It should give an option to eliminate some forms for printout. Otherwise, it was good as usual.

What's great about it: Does both state and federal taxes at same time
What's not so great: Lost data and printed too many forms

A great help

I wouldn't do my taxes any other way. I have been using Turbo Tax for years. I used a professional one year when I was out of the country and had to pay several hundred dollars and missed many deductions because I didn't have the step by step questions to help me search out all my records.
This is an outstanding product. I highly recommend it.

What's not so great: Some unusual situations require extra effort and concentration

Love It ... but time to make some helpful changes

I keep coming back ...but each year I make same grumbling comments to myself:
(1) Put the "continue" button closer to the item/entry area.
(2) Eliminate the need to scroll down to "next topic" by automatically positioning page
(3) Add a check box with "don't ask me again" or some other appropriate wording to be selected when asking about importing information. (It takes three selections of "I'll enter myself" before "don't ask me anymore" comes up as a selection.)

I have been using TurboTax for many years and I have never had an negative issue with the product.
What's great about it: Very straight forward and easy to use.
What's not so great: Honestly, I can not think of any cons.

Great software, but w/challenges on Windows 10

TT user for more than a decade and have always been happy with it. However, there are display issues on Windows 10 (using a Surface Pro 3). After clicking on the Learn More links, the new page doesn't display. You can see it as an option using Alt+Tab, but you can't select it for viewing.
Also, after clicking on most of the Continue buttons, you are taken back to the Start window, meaning you have to navigate back to TT. Frustrating. But given my historical experiences with Windows and TT, I suspect this is more Windows-related. I hope it is addressed before TT2016 arrives.
What's great about it: Always easy to use, with clear instructions
What's not so great: Windows 10 compatibility

Easy and Accurate

Very easy way to accurately get through taxes. Also have a good feeling that it's done right and I likely won't get audited.
I usually wind up updating the areas from last year instead of the step by step process which takes a long time but good for a newbie to TurboTax.

What's not so great: Takes awhile to wade thru everything if using the question/answer choice
