well, I guess another "CON" is that you didn't provide enough space for cons!!!! So much for an objective review. Another annoyance is you keep popping up the online stuff in the browser and confusing the question, Also, every time I save my working file and I reopen Turbotax It starts me with new file which I have to kill and then retrieve real file.
Lots of sloppy stuff like this thats minor but it detracts from very powerful tool.
What's great about it: very detailed
What's not so great: a lot of the formatting was sub par. example: when entering date or phone information you have to do your own formatting

Much more up to date with more variety for the taxes that are not typical. much more helpful. last year was a nightmare and this year was an extreme improvement. Someone who was familiar with the different issues helped you guys out!
What's great about it: more in depth than last year/easier to follow and find things

As long as you have all of your tax info gathered together, it takes very little time to complete the forms. Prompts you where savings might be had so you can look into it.
What's great about it: very easy to navigate, prefilled forms, previous year comparison
What's not so great: sometimes a lot of clicking required

In general a great experience, but I have a suggestion for improvement:
The short sales (stock investments) as reported in a TXF file by InteractiveBrokers contained Adjustments on 2 items (for practical purposes marked as wash sales) which were not correctly imported and required manual corrections of the imported data. I examined the TXF records in the TXF file and they looked correct, according to the TXF file format, as far as I could tell. But the adjustment fields were not imported, only the other data fields of each record.
What's great about it: In General, great experience
What's not so great: Problem With Short Sales in TXF file from InteractiveBrokers

Everything was great but state e-filing fee on a credit card was confusing. It seemed like I was buying another Turbo Tax program.

Excellent for DIY tax returns. Yes, I highly recommend.
