I like buying Turbotax retail, importing last years return allows to add or delete items.
What's great about it: Easy of use, this year I would work on various sections half an hour then quit. come back when I had more info to input.
What's not so great: Don't like so many updates.

Almost everything was guided well

Medical reporting required me to back up several times to pull data from earlier entries for testing, hospitals, and other details. I get all of that is necessary, but a heads up at the beginning explaining that there would be separate breakouts for doctors, hospitals, tests, etc would have helped.
What's great about it: The step by step helped a lot
What's not so great: Entering Medical expenses required starting over due to later detailed steps
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Over all - excellent, will use this forever.
It duplicates questions when you have already answered during other segments. That frustrates a bit.
It required $0 entries in some fields because I had data in them from previous years. That is unneeded keystrokes.

What's great about it: easy to navigate
What's not so great: Tricks you into thinking your are working with a CPA - when the 'machine' still is only reacting to data in fields.

Taxes Done!

I've done our taxes for most of our 30-year marriage (my dad always did so, and I watched and learned). I served as a bookkeeper for a real estate office, so IRS forms and language didn't scare me that much. Doing them on the computer, having the math checked, having the questions asked - it beats flipping back and forth through forms and guides. I love the satisfaction I get doing it myself. I gave the product (Premier) four stars because I always feel there's room for improvement - but I don't know what that improvement would look like.
What's great about it: I like how TurboTax asks questions and guides me through topics that I may not have considered
What's not so great: Can't think of one right now
