Fast, Easy, Comprehensive

The sequencing of the process made it easy to follow. The requirements for deductions, income, proper information, etc., were easy to understand. We have used Turbotax for many years now; we plan on continuing.
What's great about it: Easy definitions
What's not so great: Not Much
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

The package seems to work, however there seems to be something lacking for calculating PA Section 179 Expense.
I had to go to the internet to find a calculation worksheet site.

Love TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for my taxes for the past 6 years. I love the step-by-step instructions provided in turbotax. If you have the time and a little patience, this is such an easy way to prepare taxes. I love that you can stop anywhere and come back to it. E-filing is easy and state file is prepared at the same time.
What's great about it: Step-by-step instruction, maximize deductions

All is good except...

Turbo tax should include form 8621 and at least allow to be filled up manually and transfer data to 1040. this form is now used by more and more tax payers. Even Tax act supports in their cheapest version but turbo tax won't support even in premier version which is too bad.
This makes everyone using turbo tax and form 8621 to not use efile but print and mail.

What's great about it: Easier to use and better than others
What's not so great: missing FORM 8621 which is used by lot of tax payers. Even Tax act supports this but Turbo tax won't!! too bad...

Back again, but expected more

Medical Expense entry is frustrating. My Paperwork from insurance carriers uses different terms and groupings than the forms. I could not reconcile what was entered in the questions on the form with my source materials.
I gave up on the State e-file because I could not remember the intuit account information from a year ago.
What's great about it: Fairly Easy.
What's not so great: Maybe too easy. The question response entry is not what is actuall put in the form. Esp medical expenses

once again a good year. makes filing about as painless as it can get. a must have tool for every tax DIY household.
