Turdo detaxed my mind.

I have used Turbo tax for several years and it gets easier to use each year.
What's great about it: Turdo tax did all the hard work for me.
What's not so great: I can't figure out why I was penalized $1 on my Federal return when I overpaid by such a large amount.

Better every year

I have used Turbo Tax every year since first came out in the 90"s. Better every year. Just be sure you buy the product that fits your tax situation. I purchased Premier because I have Rental Properties, and it covers every aspect. I especially like the carryover of data from year before. "It's Deductible," is a must for donations. The importing of Investment and dividend information from Financial institutions is a beautiful time saving feature.
What's great about it: Complete, accurate, easy to use. Help is excellent.
What's not so great: None

TurboTax Premier has simplified a very, very complex subject. Partnering with a long list of investment brokerages and other accounting software packages makes importing your financial data so simple. Stupidly simple.
CPA's will cost you hundreds if not thousands of dollars. TurboTax Premier is a fraction of the cost and non of the hassle. I used to use a CPA until I found out he was just plugging my numbers into TurboTax.
Thanks TurboTax! See you next year!
What's great about it: TurboTax imported all my investment stuffolas from my brokerage. That alone is worth the price of the software.
What's not so great: TurboTax didn't make me a sandwich while answering those questions.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax A Huge Help

I've not used other tax packages, but Turbo Tax is logical, concise and easy to navigate through. Whilst doing the tax return is no fun, at least with this product it steers you through the minefield of questions. The Audit Protection is an excellent feature and for the money well worth it.
What's great about it: Walks through Everything. Audit Protection provides peace of mind

Turbo Tax Review

The 1099-Q/T optimized the federal return and ability to get aide but impacted the associated state (Virginia). In general would like the ability to try things (enable/disable) on entries (without deleting and reentering information). The comparison with previous year is good but had some trouble discerning what caused year-to-year changes in taxes.
What's great about it: Transfer of data from brokerage+ was easily done.
What's not so great: Results needed manual optimization (1099-Q and1099-T). Year-to-Year difference analysis could be improved.

Turbo experiences

Turbo asked Q's on my 2015 filling but was not ask the same in 2014. Poor software and inconsistency. Also, why need to pay extra fee for State when 1st time use was not require to pay. Seem to start charge client fees once they are hooked into Turbo Tax. Something to be aware and have backup with other software...
What's great about it: easy to use...
What's not so great: BUT poor to ensure user get the most deduction. Still need to read all other infor. It suppose to auto ASK!

I love this program!

Using TurboTax gives me peace of mind that my returns are done correctly and covering all the situations and forms which may be applicable to me. The program is also quick and easy to understand, considering how complex and confusing the tax codes and rules can be.
What's great about it: Help section improved from previous years
What's not so great: It's not free
