Oooops I have a IMac!

I changed from windows to Mac and was a little concerned when I purchased a TurboTax disc and didn't have a drive to put the disk into.
Thanks to the great support (at all hours) with a lot of help I was able to download TurboTax and I was on my way.
Had a few bumps in the road but was able to find my answers by doing a search. Searched 1099-Div and wella, found where to enter my investment withdrawal.

What's great about it: Liked the overall flow of the returns. The search option really helps find where to input an item.
What's not so great: Not a big fan of online support.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Thorough, but created a lot of anxiety in the final stages of filing both returns and still not sure the state return was completed. Plus, your nickname requirements make no sense.
What's great about it: Have used for many years
What's not so great: Had to pay for State efile that I didn't think I did.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I've used TurboTax for years and don't know why anyone would pay a 3rd party to do so. It's very easy and I've never encountered an issue.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Nothing significant to write about.

Good Product

I have used Turbo Tax for my personal taxes since 1999. I have itemized nearly every year (a two-income home) and been thoroughly satisfied each year with the programs' attempt to maximize my return/minimize my tax debt. Perhaps the most helpful/useful aspect of their software are the frequent "help" links available at every step of the process. Nearly every step of the Federal filing contains a tab stating "learn more", "explain this", "what does this mean?", A very useful and educational tool to help one determine what can be legitimately included in filing ones' taxes! Tax laws and regulations change every year and seem to get more complicated with each passing year, On the less positive side, the program does not appear to be as "helpful" at the State level. It simply does not appear to offer the same degree of "ready helpful explanatory links" that pervade the federal process. Somewhat understandable considering that every State has their own unique tax laws and regulations that change yearly as well!
What's great about it: Comprehensive
What's not so great: Not as comprehensive at the State level

What's great about it: I like the aids that are provided when something is not understood.
What's not so great: I can't figure out why I was penalized $1 on my Federal return when I overpaid by such a large amount.

Hands Down - Simply Impressive

Excellent software. Just follow the instructions and before you know it, you are done. The review as you go feature is just awesome! This is my 4th year in a row using it. Didn't know why I did not start sooner
What's great about it: Very User Friendly and Straight forward
What's not so great: Can't think of anything I did not like

I have used TurboTax several times in my life and it has been so straightforward to use, I could not imagine filling in the Federal and State tax forms manually. Thank you TurboTax
What's great about it: Straightforward to enter data from source forms. State included made filing easier than last year.
What's not so great: have trouble finding TurboTax password, reset password went to TurboTax Q&A, did not reset password
