Turbo tax has always been my tax filing choice, but this year, you really screwed up the updates. It froze everything up to complete both the federal and the state. It took 4 hours to fix the gliche thanks to people who ran into the exact same problem.
Hope you get that fixed in 2017? I pity the people who will be filing the last day and this happens to them. The emergency rooms will fill up quickly with heart and stress related situations!!
What's great about it: turbo tax has always been my tax choice
What's not so great: loading the updates was a disaster in 2016

Turbo Tax takes a painful onerous task and makes it easy!
What's great about it: Easy to use very detailed
What's not so great: a little confusing when initially starting but becomes easier to use as time passes

Still the best

I have used this package for 20 years or more and it is still does my taxes in a straight forward manner. I will buy it again next year.
What's great about it: Easy to install and use package. Gets information automatically from previous years and from banks, brokers and employer
What's not so great: Pin thing at the end.

I had trouble getting the updated information. It froze my computer until I had to restart Windows. Needed to download directly through Turbo Tax and then all was fine until I got to my SC State form.Updated forms need to be downloaded but the message is not clear except to provide email for a notification. Seems that by now there would be no more changes.
The FAQs were informative and mostly answered my questions.

Great software

This software is great. I have been using this program for over 5 years. It is easy to navigate and input all the information all research is completed and all data is handy. The forms are a bit harder to figure out especially for us common folks that sometimes have no idea what the forms are. Takes a bit of thought, but, at then end you will figure things out.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate using the step by step.
What's not so great: Sometimes the forms are a bit hard to understand for us common folks.
