2015 Turbo Tax Review

Early on (February) I discovered an error on my 2014 taxes by seeing Turbo Tax 2015 import data. I went back and amended the 2014 taxes in Turbo Tax 2014 then went forward to 2015 Turbo Tax and it would not import data from the amended 2014 Turbo Tax. I did not feel like inputting it myself so I did not look at my taxes for a month.
When I went back to getting them done there was a request for an update to 2015 Turbo Tax. I download the 2015 update and 2014 amended taxes import beautifully. I had a complicated return by my standards 1099 div, B, T, Misc, Int and medical due to a death in the family. Using Turbo Tax and doing my own taxes gives and gave me the feeling of empowerment, that I kept it personal and I knew and controlled our finances. Thank you for taking a load off.

What's great about it: Updated menu for filing 1099 Div and B forms for Reported and un reported cost basis made that go so smooth.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

2015 TURBO

Although the tax return took about 4 hours to do I feel that Turbo Tax covered all the bases and my tax return is as accurate as it can be.
What's great about it: Great advice all the way through

The interview was clear and concise and the help pop ups were invaluable for why things were the way they were due to the tax laws and providing guidance on what is allowed. Electronic filing was made very easy and convenient. Electronic filing was not very expensive.
What's great about it: The step by step interview for all sections of the return

Is It Really OK?

Seems like this year's version didn't ask about the same things as in the past editions. Made me kinda nervous when I found that I had to go back to catch some forms that were missed. Concerned that something else may have been missed that I didn't catch before filing. I've used TT for years without feeling uneasy. Not a good feeling!
What's great about it: Easy to find help when needed
What's not so great: Not asking enough questions

The product is very easy to use. I have used it for 7 years now.
This is the first year that I have had trouble filing. The review said everything was ready yet I could not file my State return without calling support.
I turned off the state return and did federal and it went right through. Whats up?

Sure wish you would make a Ubuntu Linux compatible version so I don't have to have a windows computer.
