I really love turbo tax simplicity but its getting a little expensive to buy and file returns electronically.
What's great about it: Easy to use, seems complete and informitive

Need XP Support

It stinks that you won't have Turbo Tax for XP in the future. I can anticipate all your reasons...blah, blah, blah. This trusty old computer still works fine for all kinds of other secure business purposes. I do have other more up-to-date computers but I will not put TT on them nor use them for tax purposes. You don't know how to treat customers. I will investigate other alternatives for the future. And NO I won't do online TT. It does not cover nearly enough.
Does not handle foreign tax credits well.
Been hearing dividend calculations are not accurate.

TurboTax 2015 Flawed

As noted, Turbo Tax is excellent IF you do not enter an S-corporation by mistake. However Turbo Tax is terrible if such a mistaken entry was made, because there is no way to correct it. You have to start all over, with a new return, being very sure you do not again make the mistake of entering an S-corporation that does not exist. That means doing all the work you've already done all over again!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is excellent IF you do not enter an S-corporation by mistake.
What's not so great: There is no way to remove an S-corporation that was entered by mistake.

super easy and pain free

I've used TurboTax of one sort or another for over 15 years and this year was likely the easiest and fastest! I am no longer self employed and now use TurboTax Premier instead of Home and Business and as I stated, I'm very happy with the process and the results!
What's great about it: asked my all the right questions
What's not so great: non this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Best refund yet

This was the only year I will ever have to deal with NQSO stock options, and I was baffled. I did call on April 15th, and a very gracious lady walked me through all the steps.
I also had to enter 1099R info, and it couldn't be easier.
The Smart Check even caught a typo I had made which made a big difference to my refund. Catching a "fat finger" error is priceless.
I won't use any other tax software.
What's great about it: Product was great, and when I needed phone help it was stellar!
What's not so great: Would like to see a few more click "to see definitions"

The Save function needs to also include a "save as" function to use as you work on your return.
There is also no place at the end of completing your tax return to save your file except to go to 'file. save'. The software says to 'continue' to save your return but all it includes is printing the return, not saving, so it would be easy to forget to save at the end.
This is the second year in a row that there has been a glitch in my Mac software where it wouldn't let me enter in my property taxes. The box was highlighted yellow with a 0 balance but would not let you enter a number, I had to enter it on the next line that said other property taxes. Previous years this was not the case but I used PC software.

What's great about it: loved being ablr to download info directly from banks, brokers, etc
What's not so great: had to mail because of a W2 with a 0 qty on it
