Turbo Tax gets it done

New with the SSAN payments this year and some questions about the Foreign Income Tax credit--instructions could be better
What's great about it: Easy to use in most cases
What's not so great: SSAN and Foreign Tax Cred instructions were confusing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Great Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax makes doing taxes easier than struggling by hand. Questions guide me. There are links to the govt. instructions. It is well-organized. Even dealing with difficult K-1's is made easier by Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Questions to guide me.
What's not so great: Printing still complex.

I went back to my taxes at a later date. Usually when I close it and return, it will ask if I want to continue where I left off. It didn't this time. It started me over with a new return, and now I have two. I think that was an important feature and needs to be put back. It would be nice to have a search bar so if you needed to look for a specific topic you could type it in.
What's great about it: Goes through most steps so that you don't skip anything
What's not so great: Didn't seem to be as thorough as last year

What's great about it: Easy interview process, contains forms to do complex tax situations even if interview doesn't cover, good review process
What's not so great: can be a bit inconvienient if you don't follow software process exactly

Fast and Easy

After using Turbo Tax for several years, I really appreciate the way historical information is preserved and automatically transferred to the new tax year. The program allows good ways to navigate the various areas of the process - going through all items or skipping to the ones you want to review. One of the best features is the way the program automatically fills in all the correct forms once information is input from the source documents.
What's great about it: Love the way information moves from prior years and to state returns. Great autoloading of forms from source documents.

Taxes made Easy

I like how Turbo Tax walks you through step by step and provides explanations at each step if you need the additional assistance. There was a financial entry that we have done the last several years and I had to enter the details every year. I wish the details would transfer from past Turbo Taxes. I entry all my financial investment information on my own. Maybe if I would download from the institution it would make a difference. Overall I like the program and have used it for at least the last 10 years.
What's great about it: Like how it walks you through the process step by step
