Grateful for Automatic 1099 Uploads

I have used Turbo Tax for years and rely on its online filing and automatic upload of W2s and 1099s. It is very helpful for investment accounts which would be EXCEEDINGLY complex to classify on my own - e.g. types of gains and holding periods on multiple financial securities. If not for that our return would be pretty straightforward. I think some manual inputs would be more easily handled in some way other than question by question, but maybe that is needed for the "branched or if/then structure" of a lot of tax rules. I will probably keep using. I also wish there were some easier way to verify that 1099s uploaded correctly.
What's great about it: Online filing, Automatic uploads of W2 and 1099s.
What's not so great: A bit too much hoopla on max refunds. Wish for simpler questions.

Not as good as past years....

I've always loved the ease of Turbo Tax and I've used it for a long, long time. For the first time, it crashed on me. I had a 1099-Misc to enter, and the questions seemed odd to me. After lots of agonizing, the computer just crashed. I eventually got it up and running again and had to do research outside Turbo Tax to figure out exactly how I needed to answer the questions to get it to put everything where I needed it. I knew where the info needed to go, but the questions just didn't lead you there.
What's great about it: Love being able to import old info.
What's not so great: Crashed my computer, not good!

Fine as always

It worked just fine, again, as it always does. I like the consistency of the program - how it appears and operates similarly from year to year. One minor data entry error on my part was caught by the review process, corrected, and saved me over $350. I have nothing bad to say about that!
What's great about it: Consistent program appearance and operation over the years
What's not so great: none, really

What's great about it: Step-by-step process is easy to use. Directions and explanations are clear.
What's not so great: I found the printing process (all the saving of PDF files) a little cumbersome.

2016 Tax Experience

Turbo Tax was easy to use. The process and steps helped me organize my documents so that it was entered in a consistent manner. I felt extremely comfortable with the way the program asked questions so that I accurately entered the data. I also like how the program calculated as the data was being entered.
What's great about it: Well organized program that improved my process of collecting and entering data

What a Nightmare!

I had been a big fan for years, but this year I had to re-input my information at least three times. First the online version never asked me to incorporate last year's data and it gave a message that one function required payment to continue, so I figured then it would allow me to bring in last year. But the opposite, it did not load it and customer service (c/s) told me that once I paid it was too late to try to incorporate last year. So they gave me a downloaded version and it kept freezing at Health Care. When I called c/s they almost got me to eliminate my entire browsing history (which I use constantly) to clear the cache. It went on and on, freezing yet another time at Healthcare and I finally stumbled on the solution myself (I opened the saved copy directly instead of through turbo tax. Before that it showed my saved copies as blank when I clicked on FILE, OPEN)
What's great about it: I've been using for years, always had been easier than dealing with a CPA
What's not so great: Crashes, bad advice on customer support

Repeat User - Still Satisfied

I've used Turbo Tax for several years now. I've always found it a relatively straightforward process. While I don't like paying taxes any more than the next person, Turbo Tax provides a reliable, easy to use, cost effective option for preparing and filing my returns. I'll be using it again next year.
What's great about it: methodical, logical and easy to use
