will be seriously looking at H&R block software which is $20-30 cheaper, and will do the same thing.
What's not so great: Forced to buy Premier because i sold 1 stock

Smooth Route to Refunds

I've used TurboTax for several years to complete and file federal and state taxes. The step-by-step guides are extremely helpful, especially in those years when I've had some miscellaneous income. They've helped me identify special credits as well. All-in-all, a very useful product and service that has helped me make the correct deductions and secure federal and state refunds.
What's great about it: Extremely helpful walk-through of tax prep process

Prior years' histories?

Premier didn't pick up my prior years on the History sheet. Couple places where the data was in TurboTax files but did not automatically pick up and I had to enter the numbers. Do not choose to print out "ALL" worksheets. Mine was almost 200 pages long!!
What's great about it: Guide is easy
What's not so great: Still not a slam dunk

I have always been satisfied with the TurboTax products. They are easy to use, speak in layman's terms, and find every possible deduction.
I will definitely continue to use TurboTax for both my Federal and State returns

Fed and State Returns

processing multiple state returns for two individuals. For some reason created NY return when not necessary but could not find a way to delete. Just did not send at time of submission.
What's great about it: consistency with transfering and updating info year to year
What's not so great: found glitches where categories skipped or would not access

Have been using Turbo Tax for many years. Importing previous data is a good feature, saves time. The checking and audit functions help eliminate entry errors, makes the most unpleasant necessary job somewhat tolerable. (Well, not really, nothing makes the government greed tolerable.)
What's great about it: Fast and covers all area I need to address
What's not so great: The IRS Tax peocess
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

The program was fairly easy to use and quite intuitive. I have been using it for several years and link between years saves a lot of time.
Unfortunately, it was not linked to a major investment vehicle I own with FTB Advisors of Tennessee. This caused painful input of reams of data. I am sure this is caused by FTB Advisors.
Overall, I would say that it is a easy and reliable product.

What's not so great: No download capabilities for one major investment account I have with FiTB Advisors.
