My Hero!

Turbo Tax is a lifesaver! Given the changes in tax laws and the numerous forms required, we'd need an interpreter to do our taxes now. This makes it easy- just answer questions! I've used Turbo Tax since 1994, and I'll never go back to doing my own taxes again. Instead of weeks, I can do our taxes in one day! Turbo Tax is my Hero!
What's great about it: Easy to use-just answer questions
What's not so great: You have to know which version to buy

Good, but....

Emails not arriving on a timely basis and when you choose the "longer verification" the programs just moves to the corporate contact us page.... something doesn't work.

Get It Right - Then Check It Right

I lived in Utah in 2015. Utah uses a 14 character state ID. When I put in the 14-character state ID, Turbotax said I hadn't put in enough characters. I re-entered my 14-character State ID, and you still said it wasn't 14 characters. This continued through all the checks you did, and I had to keep bypassing the check. Thanks.
This year you added the requirement to submit a form 14039 if we had been the victim of ID theft. You tried to autofill the current address, but since the first line of my address is 514 Americas Way, Unit 7192, all I got on the first line is ", ,"
This is shoddy work, and scares me when I wonder what's going on with my tax calculations.
What's not so great: You Create Errors and Then Keep Blaming Them on Me
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Good except

Your processing of the K-1 schedule is beyond not acceptable. I found several areas which you required answers to lines which were not provided by the partnership. I could not move on or file until I entered something. This is unacceptable. In addition, at least one of this areas even had an infinite loop. This is beyond unacceptable.
What's great about it: everything but k-1 good
What's not so great: k-1 processing is NOT ACCEPTABLE
