Turbo Tax is an excellent product. However, by topic is inconsistently applied. It would be helpful if Turbo Tax smart engine would use prior year's tax information (assuming Turbo Tax was used for prior year) to walk user through relevant and applicable updates to current changes unique for that user. Turbo Tax does not do enough of this.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Not much help with State tax guidance

Buggie but useable

It did a good job with two exceptions:
1. The UI hung and required two restarts to continue.
2. It includes a "other tax issues" screen that is useless and alarming.

2015 version inferior to prior versions

I will never again sign up for the automated annual versions. It can be purchased more cheaply at a variety of commercial sources. My loyalty to Turbo-tax vanished when they got rid of the ability to manually enter investment data into the Deluxe version. Now you have to pay more to get the Premier version. Also, in entering data for investments sales, you can no longer use the "various" option for sell date and buy date to mutual funds with multiple sells throughout the year.
What's great about it: walks you through each step
What's not so great: what used to be available in the deluxe version, you now have to pay more for

Very good software!

Could the entry of multiple charitable donations to the same entity and date be made easier by use of a spreadsheet type entry rather than having to enter all data, ie.entity, date and type of item for each and every item donated?
What's great about it: Generally it's easy to use, user friendly
What's not so great: Entering charitable deductions is very tedius

What's not so great: K-1 entries is not as self explanatory as other areas. Needs more explanation or need to be an CPA to prepare.

Worked well for my Federal and state filing needs which included out-of-state rental properties. Very thorough. Intuitive and easy to correct when entry errors are made. Have used Turbo Tax for over 15 years withy no regrets.
What's great about it: Quick and thorough
What's not so great: Only get to use once a year
