Using Turbo tax has definitely gotten easier over time. Is a great time saver and makes taxes so much less painful.
What's great about it: Quick and easy. Loved ability to load in forms from financial institutions

Turbo Tax 2015 Assessment

Download of New Jesey State Tax did not open program properly.
Download did not permit me to open the state tax program until I reached the error check portion of the program. The program did not provide detail needed to correct this error.
The error check issued an error concerning foreign tax reported from my K-1 forms input stating only that no foreign income was reported, but did not provide information needed to correct this error. The program would not allow me to transmit my taxes until this error was corrected.
What's great about it: Simple to use for common income and deductions
What's not so great: Error Check did not provide simple and clear information needed to correct error from K-1 form

A very clean year...even more streamlined

Turbo Tax has become more efficient and user friendly through the years. 2015 is the best yet...very compact quetioning and, then, help as an when you need it. Very nice. Handled the K-1s easily and data capture from outside informations sources actually worked wonderfully.
What's great about it: The program has learned about me and the customized process makes it so much simpler to manuever
What's not so great: A little problem e-filing state return but it eventually all worked out
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax 2015 Experience

TurboTax does an excellent job of handling the figures, options and necessary information for each step. Tips are given for further research as required. Much time is saved by importing standardized information from the previous year's return for validation and update. Year-over-year comparisons are useful
What's great about it: Clear instructions, generally good background hints and information
What's not so great: Cutesy congratulatory messages

I have used TurboTax every year since I started working. I get better at keeping track of the right documents every year, and have come to somewhat enjoy doing my taxes so I can see my return estimates go up and down as I enter income and deductions. TurboTax makes the process about as easy and straightforward as I can imagine it being.
What's great about it: Fast, understandable, maybe even a little fun
What's not so great: There are rare questions you have to look up, but mostly it's straighforward.

The last two year Turbo Tax has been so frustrating that I may just have someone else to do them next year for the first time in my life and I'm retirement age.
What's great about it: downloads w2 easily
What's not so great: wouldn't print like usual

I have used Turbo Tax for over a dozen years and would not even consider switching to another product. Turbo Tax works very smoothly and gets me every dime of refund to which I am entitled
What's great about it: Absolutely intuitive even for a computer non-geek

I have been using Turbo Tax for some years now and am overall very pleased with the simplicity and clarity of going through the steps.
What's great about it: Walked through every step
What's not so great: Cost of filing state return - After all it is electronic. Should be cheap
