Tax Return -showing errors with manual correction

It found one error on my state, all the info was copied over from Fed then why showing errors related to 1099-R, I had to manually remove from the line called exemptions. If it should not be there,, why Turbo Tax filled that line
What's great about it: Works well
What's not so great: few issues. Information was on the form, but not copied over to form, I was asked to look for and enter the line number

Good - for the most part

Generally, Turbo Tax Premier was helpful and well done. However, When trying to fill out the part required with the K-1 forms, I thought the instructions left a little to the imagination. I guess if the feds don't like how I ended up doing that part, I will be audited.
What's great about it: Step-by-Step instructions are very good
What's not so great: When I did the K-1 forms, I did not totally understand everything

Easy way to get your taxes done.

It's pretty straightforward but does take some time.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Getting all the paperwork together but that's not the software's fault.

We sold a rental property. TurboTax put together all the past history of losses, depreciation, etc. in a painless way!

Got it done but!

Cheaper and handier than going to a service or using an expensive CPA, but quite expensive for a program that
only works for a single year, puls we had to use a more expensive version this year since some features were dropped from the version we were able to use last year. Wish I had started out with another brand of software. Same with Quicken; it drops some services after a few years and only gets more expensive. More explanations about how information is supplied would be helpful in filling in the blanks as I find I have to return to previous pages repeatedly to get it right. For example the various forms of 1099s such as 1099-R and 1099 -S and 1099-SM aren't pointed out, Nearly missed a major deduction from medical insurance taken out of Social Security and RR retirement but not mentioned at all on the 1099's of either board. It should have been correct on the Gov't forms, but a better program would have mentioned this. Call your local RRB if your 1099's don't show Medicare deductions. (My wifes' only showed the total amount paid after deduction was made)

What's great about it: Imports lots of information if you used Ttax last year. Still far better than filling in by by hand & calculator.
What's not so great: Failed to import any brokerage information. Worked fine last year.

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and have always felt confident in the preparation. But I'm now retired and was concerned about this year's filing. Not to worry because I breezed through it. I'm pretty good at knowing what paperwork to have ready and this year went smoothly. Thanks muchly!
What's great about it: explanations and help sections were very helpful and clear

TurboTax forever

I have used TurboTax almost since it began. Once again it was easy to use and understandable. Help was there if needed, navigating was easy. Just what I have come to expect.
