Overall, we like this product, but have the following suggestions:
1. Have a button on each screen to "ask Turbo Tax about this entry" In some areas, it is difficult to search for help or FAQ and identify the exact entry you have a question on. If you had a button to generate a question from each screen, then it would be easier to present the question and would be easier for Turbo Tax to address the question.
2. There are some questions in the depreciation area, that there were three choices, giving the impression that you had to select one of the choices, when in fact we did not have to select one of the options. There should have been information indicating that we might not need to check one of the boxes. And if you don't understand my question or where I am talking about, please see my first comment.
3. It would be nice to be able to review areas without having to click through half a section, so more check points.
4. This product is geared for rental properties, yet there were big gaps of missing information. For example, there is a question about "do you have a home office". There was no information regarding this choice. Perhaps it seems like a simple question, but we have an office in our multi family, but could not find any information on Turbo Tax on how to address this. Answering yes or know takes you on two different paths that you can't review or change without re-entering a lot of information. Again, this product is supposed to be geared for rental properties, but there was little to no information on things like owner occupied subjects. How to address common items like lawn mowers, tools, etc for owner occupied situations, on how to pro rate depreciation. We had to search FAQ's and did not find many good answers. We eventually had to do a lot of research on subjects that should be included in a product that is geared to rental properties.
What's great about it: Generally, software works well with no glitches
What's not so great: Would like better access to help with specific questions
Pros: I moved

The need for the Form 8332 was made plain by the Internal Revenue Service and was no problem to provide but it was so unnecessary if Turbo Tax had alerted us to the problem upfront.
Another problem involved the sale of a piece of rental property. The program did not flow to the proper forms to be filed and required quite a bit of research on my part to find the forms and fill them out. Even now, I think I could have added a bit more detail but will wait and see if the IRS needs that detail.
We customers, as a whole I believe, expect Turbo Tax to cross all the t's and dot all the i's and that we will not have to do a lot of research to be sure the papers are correctly filled out.
At least that's why I buy Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: Didn't advise the need for a Form 8332 in the case of a divorced
Pros: I bought or sold investments

How is it that the third party processor for credit card e-filing charges more (% based) based on how much you must pay the Fed government? Surly their costs for processing aren't increased.
Intuit could give the used a little heads up on that rather than after you have gone nearly through the process.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and will very likely continue to do so. The Premier edition has everything I need to do my returns.
What's great about it: Liked carrying over info from last year's return. Step by step instructions were clear and easy to follow.
What's not so great: Should have been asked for direct deposit information earlier in the process for Montana state taxes.
