What's great about it: Generally good flow for a simple return
What's not so great: Not so good for more involved issues - support seriously lacking

Downloaded TXF file from one MLP; couldn't get TTP to read and use the file.
Why can't TTP just take the data from the K1 and use it.. Only one out of three MLPs was easy.
What's great about it: quick and fast for normal stuff
What's not so great: MLP support still difficult

my first time in many years using Turbo Tax

previously did my own so process made me dumb
What's great about it: Gave me confidence I was not missing anything as my tax situation has become more complicated + no math checking
What's not so great: I was anxious as I was just answering questions and not really knowing what was being done. Made it confusing

TurboTax + Quicken + financial institutional downloads make for fast, accurate tax filing. Started after breakfast and filed before lunch. What a joy!

I will avoid the download version like the plague

The download is cheaper, but it doesn't provide access to worksheets and forms, and did not let me correct mistakes that happened in the downloading of my financial information from my financial institution. It was infuriating. I will never never never bother with the misleading appearance of the ease of using the download. I will spend the extra money and get the disc version.
I've been using Intuit tax software for twenty years (can that be true?) and it has always been easy and economical.
What's great about it: Started right away
What's not so great: No forms, no way to correct mistakes
