Schedule 1040-B worksheet when entering line 1A from the drop down list will not move to the next space after making selection.
What's not so great: Schedule 1040-B worksheet
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbotax could not know if I made estimated tax payments to Oregon. State tax was withheld when a RMD was made from my retirement IRA. that was included but I was never asked about estimated state tax payments - which exceeded my tax due. I had to find the form and manually enter est. tax and dates paid.
Eliminate the nickname request. You are constantly rejecting my entry - 4 times!!. Ridiculous! so more than one person can not have the same nickname? Rating just went down
What's great about it: Easier to use than previous years
What's not so great: State estimated tax payments were not included - had to enter them in the worksheet

Another One Done

I have used turbo tax for the past ten years and have been satisfied with the process and results. I would highly recommend you have the side by side of previous years return to see if you have covered all of the differences. This year it was a big help but I still got bumped into a different tax level.
What's great about it: The program walks me through the process with much more than I think I needed. Sometimes it takes a while to it right!
What's not so great: As with pros... lots of info needs to be organized to not take too long and get it right!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

I file family returns in CA and TN. Both state programs should be included in the purchase of Premier. In TN the only need for the program is to check accuracy of data as the return in filed directly with the state in an online program.
What's great about it: Very easy and intuitive to use. Most explanatory information is simple and clear.
What's not so great: State Programs should be included.

What's great about it: knowledge of support group
What's not so great: wait time to get a person on the phone.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Superior Product

I used to do my taxes manually (15 years ago with excel spreadsheets) and so I appreciate the complexity that TurboTax manages so successfully. I just printed my 2015 returns with 91 pages of forms and schedules. Hard to imagine doing that manually anymore or manually putting much of that info into my 2016 returns.
It's Deductible is worth the price of admission alone. Using TurboTax and It's Deductible take most of the stress out of a process that has/had most of us wondering if you had done something wrong or would get in trouble. It's great to have the authority of TurboTax behind you.
Like many I was not happy when functionality changes in 2014 forced me to upgrade to TurboTax Premier. I also resist the encouragement from TurboTax to buy additional states - when they cost as much as the basic product and it's unclear how well the linkage would even work. TurboTax was an incredible value before last year. Now it's a good value. The more complex your tax situation the better the value. I still do additional states manually and most provide very user friendly processes for most situations.
I recommend the product frequently including to IRS accountants I work with.
What's great about it: Simple to use, as much depth as you need, It's Deductible
What's not so great: Not quite the great value it was before 2014
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have used TurboTax instead of a professional tax service for over 10 years. I have never been audited, but I have had to make one small additional payment to the IRS because of a missing entry. This item may have been noticed by a professional.
What's great about it: carry-over of last year's information
What's not so great: Not enough guidance to enter investment information
Pros: I bought or sold investments
